Scottie was born and raised in Albemarle, Stanly County, NC. After graduating from Albemarle Senior High School, he received an Associate Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from Stanly Community College in 1987 and has been working as an Industrial Electrician ever since. He also maintains North Carolina Electrical Contractors License.

Scottie was raised a Master Mason on June 15, 1999 at Stanly Lodge #348 in Albemarle, NC. He served as Master in 2003 and 2007 and currently serves as Treasurer.
Scottie joined the Valley of Charlotte Scottish Rite in October 1999. He was invested with the Knight Commander of the Court of Honour (KCCH) on November 18, 2017 in Winston-Salem. He has served as a Marshall for Candidates at Reunions, a representative for the Blue Lodge Ambassador program, and a member of the Long Range Planning Committee. Scottie joined the Salisbury York Rite Bodies and was Knighted on October 30, 2000. He served as High Priest of Salisbury Chapter #20 in 2010, Illustrious Master of Adoniram Council #2 in 2013 and Commander of Salisbury Commandery #13 in 2012. He received the Convent General Knights of York Cross of Honor (KYCH) at the 2014 York Rite Honors Day in New Bern. He is a Past Presiding Officer of Mecca Council #76, Allied Masonic Degrees, Western NC College #78, York Rite Sovereign College, and St. Patrick’s in America #1, Knight Masons. He is a member and Officer in the Order of Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests, Masonic Order of Athelstan and the Red Cross of Constantine. He is a member of the Royal Order of Scotland, The Operatives, Pilgrim Preceptors and Societas Rosicruciana In Civilatibus Foederatis (S.R.I.C.F.). Scottie was awarded the Knight Commander of the Temple by the Grand Encampment of Knights Templar of the USA in 2020. He received the Order of the Purple Cross from the York Rite Sovereign College of North America in 2021. He currently serves as an Officer in the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of North Carolina and stands to serve as Grand Commander of Knights Templar of North Carolina in 2024.

Noble Scottie joined Oasis Shriners on June 6, 2015 in Maggie Valley. He immediately petitioned the Oasis Patrol and is currently proudly serving the oldest Oasis Unit as Captain. He also served as Assistant Director in 2016 and Vice Chairman for Membership from 2017-2021. He was the Charter President for the Oasis BrewMasters Taproom #16 Club and is the Charter First Vice President of the International Association of Shrine Taprooms, to serve as President from 2023-2025. He is a member of Hillbilly Clan #13, receiving the Hillbilly and Tarheel degrees in 2017. Noble Scottie is a member of the Royal Order of Jesters, Charlotte Court 109, Past Masters Unit and the Stanly County Shrine Club where he serves on the Executive Committee for the Outdoorsman’s Bonanza fundraiser.

Scottie lives in Albemarle with his wife Jody, two Westies (Morgan and Parker) and a Scottish Terrier named Junior. They have three children, (Johnathan, Alicia and Hannah), and five Grandchildren, (Austin, Chloe, Cooper, Ella and Magnolia). He is a life-long member of First Lutheran Church of Albemarle, serving on the Church Council, as a former Chairman of the Family Life Committee, as an Usher and Communion Assistant.

I have had a passion for Masonry ever since I was Raised. Masonry has truly changed my life for the better and I consider it an Honor to serve the oldest Fraternity in the world however I can. I look forward to the journey ahead and the chance to give back to Oasis Shriners for all it has given me.
